Bloke pranks his drink driving friend into thinking he’s been in a 10 year coma

What do you do when your mate won’t stop hitting the sauce and getting behind the steering wheel? Well, if you’re the bloke behind this prank, you scare the f**k out of him and give him something to think about before he kills himself – or someone else. Chuck has the review…

Imagine waking up to find out you’ve been sparko in a bloody coma for a whole bloody decade. You’d be lost. You wouldn’t know anything about the world. The thought of self-automated flying ubers would blow your mind, and the prospect of finding out exactly what’s happened to your family would be a truly daunting one!

It’s that point about family that makes this video worth watching. Despite the reveal coming before the video diminishing some of its potential gravitas, the fact that this no doubt hung-over bloke who’s literally just been told he’s been in a coma for ten years asks where his daughter is without even blinking an eye shows you just what’s at stake when you’re a serial drink-driver.

We have a saying here in Ozzyland that comes from a famous ad campaign about drink driving. “If you drink and drive, you’re a f**khead!”

Wait, no, that’s not how it goes. It’s, “If you drink and drive, you’re a c**t!” Sorry, I mean, “If you drink and drive, you’re a bloody idiot!”

As the video unfolds you can see that the blokes who masterminded it have put a lot of thought into it and they’ve been able to transform an abandoned office space into a pretty functional replica of a hospital room, and that’s probably because they’re absolutely sick of their mate’s bullsh**.

As they say in the video, “you could lose your daughter.”

And how about the love in those slaps and punches? That’s a real sign of the frustration this bloke is causing.

Final thought: seeing a mate potentially self-destructing by constantly driving under the influence can’t be a good thing. To be fair, it’s a little bit strange he doesn’t have one of those breathalyser locks on the steering wheel. It’s just a shame that he’s still grinning at the end of the video. Do yourselves a favour. Don’t be a drink-driver. Just get a cab (or a self-automated flying uber if you’ve just woken up and it’s 2023). Your family will thank you for it.
