Watch Samuel Jackson read the social distancing kids book Stay the F**k at Home!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, we’re gonna guess you’re pretty bloody familiar with Samuel L Jackson’s classic reading of everyone’s favourite bedtime story, Go the F**k to Sleep. Yeah, nah, the legendary actor read the s**t out of that one, and we’re not sure, but we reckon it might have something to do with his excellent ability to say ‘f**k’. Deadset, the Pulp Fiction alumnus and frequent Tarantino favourite has that s**t down pat. So when it came time to read a fable about social distancing on Jimmy Kimmel, he knew what to do…

Jackson and Go the F**k to Sleep author, Adam Mansbach, collaborated on a spiritual sequel to the seminal picture-book after becoming frustrated by the ridiculous amount of people who don’t seem to get how important social distancing is right now.

While you can’t currently buy the book, Jackson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live for a bit of a catch-up and interview. While talking s**t about various things, way led onto way, and Jackson introduced the new project.

“I got a call the other day from Adam…and what he wanted to do was kind of remind people of what social distancing and where we are in these times now, so he wrote a new poem, I read it, and we want to present to the public right now.”

We won’t go spoiling the poem for you, because let’s be honest, you want to hear it from Jackson and not us, but when he moves into the title, you know it’s gonna be good.

When he’s done, you can see how bloody proud he is of his work. As the book isn’t currently for sale, Jackson has asked people to donate to Feeding America if they enjoyed the story.

Final thought: We dunno about you, but we reckon this is a timely and important message for people everywhere. It doesn’t matter how many times it’s said, people still seem to be flouting the Chief Health Officer’s advice and not staying the f**k at home.
