Keanu Reeves reacts to finally finding out that he is the ‘Internet’s boyfriend’

In case you hadn’t realised, the 90s are back in a big way. Loads of cool stuff from the 90s is coming back around. Riding that crest is none other than one of the 90s’ most legendary stars, Keanu Reeves. However, in complete fairness to Keanu, he’s more popular than ever because of his genuine nature and tops bloody attitude to life and other people, not just his role in iconic 90s movies. In fact, he’s just been called the ‘internet’s boyfriend.’ Check out his reaction down below…

Rightio, ya big bewdiful legends, there’s actually a couple of talking points in this interview.

One’s the obvious clamour around Reeves being a top bloody bloke.

The other point, which is perhaps more pertinent for our crowd, is that Keanu’s talking about the upcoming third edition of Bill and Ted at the tail-end of this fluff piece.

Anyway, let’s get the first bit out of the way. Reeves has always been a pretty well-loved celebrity, but as stories of his real-life awesomeness have spread, he’s really cemented himself as a proper legend. With John Wick shooting down the competition, as well as his cameos and appearances in Always be my Maybe and Cyberpunk 2077, he’s the subject of memes and fantasies everywhere.

So, when they caught up with him at the premiere of Toy Story 4, JD Heyman and Melody Chiu from People Magazine had to ask:

“You’ve been dubbed the internet’s boyfriend. How do you feel about that?”

“That’s, uh, that’s wacky,” the actor said. “Well, the positivity’s great. It’s really special how John Wick was embraced, and working on Always Be My Maybe, great, you know. Ali Wong and Randall Park [are] just really wonderful artists and people, and it was really cool to get a chance to play with them.”

Later in the interview, Reeves gets to business. He’s asked what he’s most looking forward to next. And you’d better believe he knows where it’s at. “Right now, Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure 3. It’s a role I played almost thirty years ago,” he says, just to make sure the uninitiated get the point. “So that’ll be, hopefully, fun and funny.”

Final thought: Yeah, he’s a top bloke. It can’t be denied, but if you’re not a little bit excited about Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure 3, we don’t know what to do with you. Anyway, load up your favourite memories from the first two in the Facebook comments.
