Brendan Fraser gets emotional when he discovers the Internet is rooting for him
Brendan bloody Fraser was a pretty f**ken big deal back in the day. For a while there, the big bloody legend was everywhere, and movies like The Mummy were hot f**ken s**t. Yeah, nah, he was on top of the world, and then, for reasons that are fairly well documented and we don’t really need to go into, it all went tits up. Now, though, the big fella’s back and people are f**ken stoked. Naturally, he’s emotional too, and in a recent fan interview, he even choked up when he heard how much people love him!
Rightio, in case you didn’t know, bloody Fraser has been cast to appear alongside Leonardo Di Caprio and Robert De Niro in Martin Scorsese’s forthcoming movie Killers of the Flower Moon. The movie’s set to be a western crime drama, based on a novel listed as one of Time Magazine’s top ten of 2017.

Naturally, fans of Fraser are f**ken thrilled for him, and in a recent video chat, Lindley, a cosplayer and fan of The Mummy films shared that sentiment with him. As you might imagine, Fraser was a little emotional on hearing it.

When Lindley congratulated him, the big fella responded by saying, “Thank you, I think I might be sick! A little anxious. I mean, it’s going to be fun, but I’m like [pretends to chew fingernails].”

Lindley continued by saying, “You’ve got this. You’ve got this. Just know that the internet is so behind you. We’re so supportive. There are so many people out there who love you, and we’re rooting for you. And we can’t wait to see what you do next.”

You can watch the video yourself to see Fraser’s exact reaction, but the emotion in his response is evident. Let’s just hope this sees him returning to films on a more regular basis!
Final thought: Yeah, nah, again, we bloody love a good news story, and this is exactly that. Old mate’s had some rough years, and now that he seems to be coming out the other side, we wish him nothing but the best!
