Buying property can be a real mother**ker! Not only do you have to spend shit-tonnes of cash – whether you’re buying new or building – but you can also end up living next door to dickheads. Deadset, anyone who’s had to live next door to f**kwit neighbours knows how much of a dampener that can be. When it came time for one British couple to buy a house, they had a better idea. Renovate a truck to their exact specifications and enjoy the ability to move freely in the comfort of their own home.

Iona and Martin are what we like to refer to as a couple of smart b**tards. They knew they weren’t ready to settle the f**k down, but they also needed somewhere to live. When they thought about their lifestyle, they realised that buying a house the traditional way wasn’t necessarily for them.

While they were toying with the idea of buying a home they could travel in, Martin – a few beers deep – had a f**ken brainwave. He realised that if they bought an old RV (or a truck) and did the c**t up, they could get a top-notch home at a bargain price.

With no bloody littluns running around, it’s not like they need lots of space – and little eco-friendly homes are top quality these days – so having Iona carefully design the perfect living space in the back of a cheap as chips truck and having Martin do the handiwork, meant they were getting exactly what they wanted. And it cost them f**k all in comparison to the alternative.

The truck itself only cost about four and a half thousand US dollars (so about 6 and half thousand Ozzy dollary-doos) and the renovations meant they got it all done for close to twenty-five grand. F**ken score.

Final thought: Look, they might now be living as glorified gypsies, but they’re doing it in bloody style. I know there’ve been times when I’ve wished I could just pick up sticks and move away from annoying neighbours, so truth be told, I’m pretty jealous of these two legends. Good sh*t, guys.
