Kid mistakes beer for milo – and now the company’s been banned from advertising it!

As you can probably imagine, we bloody love a nice drop of craft beer here at Ozzy Man Reviews, and judging from the refrigerators at the local bottlo, we’re not the only ones. Matter of fact, people are loving the s**t so much that more and more breweries are trying more and more tasty brews. One of those is Howler Brewing. If you know ‘em, you’ll know they’ve been rocking a chocky milk stout that looks more than a little like a tin of Milo. Unfortunately, the bevvy was too similar in appearance and a young whippersnapper has gone and guzzled one of the brewskis.

Obviously, that sucks the proverbial wombat’s wanger and the authorities can’t be having it. Yeah, nah, it doesn’t matter that the bloody olds should be keeping that s**t out of reach of the tin lids, the powers that be have given the company short shrift with a ruling that basically amounts to, ‘Yeah, nah, garn get f**ked.’

Howler brew their beers down in Victoria, and it has to be said that the can design is pretty f**ken similar to a tin of the good-as chocky powder. Yeah, nah, deadset, we kinda wanna drink one just after having a squiz at it.

Still, rules are rules. After the parent of the cheeky little bugger complained to the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation, the organisation said the product breached rules that meant the brews shouldn’t appeal to minors.

As a result, they’ve been banned from advertising it and have been ordered to change the packaging. It’s a shame, because it’s a kinda cool set-up, but oh well, s**t happens. Hopefully, they can come up with a better design that makes it definitely not for kids.

You know, like a tin of Milo with a massive pair of tits on one side and a dick and balls on the other. That should do the trick.

Final thought: Yeah, this is one of those dodgy ones. We all know it’s unfortunate, but sometimes those are the breaks. Still, let us know if you agree. Were they trying to market to kids or were they just tapping into the ever profitable nostalgia market? Have your say in the comments section.
