Irish bloke brilliantly pranks his family during own funeral

If you’ve ever known a true prankster, you’ll know that stopping what they’re doing just isn’t an option for them. Yeah, nah, those people are the ones who always take it too far. The ones who get told a joke’s not funny anymore and keep going anyway. In short, they’re bloody legends, and if you’re a proper prank-master, you’re not even gonna let your own death get in the way of a bloody good laugh. Have a look at what we mean with this epic footage from an Irish Grandpa’s funeral.

Righto, ya big bewdiful boofheads, come and hear the final words of legendary Irish bloke, Shay Bradley.

This Irish Defence Force veteran might be dead now, but there was absolutely no chance he was letting the perfect opportunity for a final prank pass – even if it was at his own funeral.

In a video uploaded to Facebook by the old fella’s daughter, Andrea, you get to see just how much of a sense of humour he had. Just as a collection of friends and family were gathering to say their goodbyes and the bagpipes began to play, the top bloke hit ‘em with his final effort.

Deadset, the prick had only gone and pre-recorded a prank voice-over track to make ‘em think he was still alive and kicking inside his funeral box.

“Let me out!” it said. “Where the f*ck am I? Hello! Hello! Let me out! Let me out, It’s f*cking dark in here. Where the f*ck am I? Is that the priest I can hear? This is Shay, I’m in the box. No, in f*cking front of you. I’m dead.”

His daughter captioned the video with, “My dad’s dying wish, always the prankster! Ya got them good, Poppabear… and gave us all a laugh just when we needed it!! I will love you forever #shayslastlaugh”

As you can imagine, those gathered thought it was classic bloody Shay. Have a squiz at the video down below.

Final thought: Honestly, this is exactly what a funeral should be about. Sure, it’s a sad occasion, but it’s also one to celebrate the good things about the life of the deceased. By the looks of things, Shay got in one last laugh. What a way to be remembered by all those you held dear.
