Hungry sheila begs professor for exam retake after meatball causes failed exam

If you’ve ever royally f**ked a test, you’ll know that there are all sorts of excuses for it. Don’t get us wrong, most of them are actually excuses. Yeah, nah, the real reason most uni students bodge their exams is simple: they went to the bar first. Of course, that doesn’t mean there aren’t extenuating circumstances. Take Sam Lee for example. This sheila cooked her exam because of a rogue meatball. Check it out…

Yeah, when it comes to excuses, we reckon you blokes and blokettes would have a whole bunch of good ones, but for Sam, she couldn’t bloody believe it when a meatball plummeted from her sub and logged her out of a test.

Still, why are we going on about it when you get the meat of the story straight from the sauce. Er, source.

Here’s the email she sent her professor:

“I had some technical difficulties and outside distractions during the test today.

Something hit my computer and caused it to submit the test when I had less than half of the questions answered. By something, I mean a meatball that had tragically fallen onto my keyboard as I was taking the exam. This said meatball caused some malfunctions with my laptop and caused the test to submit itself.

I completely understand that a falling meatball is no excuse for the failing grade on this exam, but is there any possibility of retaking this test?”

Luckily for her, the professor was an understanding bugger. He thought there was no way she could be making up a story this bizarre:

“Samantha, well, this is certainly a new and unusual excuse for a low score! But for that reason it seems unlikely you’ve made this up.

I’ve extended your deadline for the module 6 test until midnight tonight. I would recommend you take the test either before or after dinner.”

Final thought: Yeah, nah, this is a pretty out-there reason for failing, but we wanna know what sorts of excuses you’ve got. And that doesn’t mean load us up with tragic stories!
