Female strawweight star fights enrmous male heavyweight in mismatch MMA bout

As you know, we’re pretty big fans of a high-quality MMA contest here at Ozzy Man Reviews. Yeah, nah, we reckon there’s a lot to be said about two highly trained fighters of a similar weight-class going at it and finding out who’s boss. But it has to be said, that’s not quite what happens in this strange battle. Give it a bit of a gander to see what we mean…

All right, first up, the Epic Fighting Championship is no stranger to these contests. Based in Russia, it’s home to matches that are known to raise the eyebrows. Previous fights have seen a pensioner and his grandson fight a highly trained female fighter, and a reality tv star fight a pornstar.

This bout, though, featured Aleksandra Stepakova, a tiny female fighter, competing against Grigory Chistyakov, who weighs 200 kilos. As you can imagine, it was quite the mismatch. Still, credit where it’s due, the big fella couldn’t knock Stepakova out – and she made him take some punches.

Funnily enough, though, the fight went the distance – a full three rounds. The predictable contest saw Stepakova ducking and weaving as she rained several blows on her much bigger opponent, but things quickly took on a different outlook when Chistakov got her against the cage.

Yeah, nah, at that point, he was able to sap her of energy, and he was eventually declared the winner. Some are now saying it’s one of the strangest MMA contests of all time.

Final thought: Yeah, to be honest, we’re not sure how we feel about this. It’s obviously all consenting, but it just feels a bit dodgy. Still, who are we to judge a fair fight between two competitors. No one, that’s who. Yeah, nah, we’ll leave it to you. Let us know what you reckon in the comments section.
