Dalek spotted cruising around UK streets ordering humans to self-isolate

Just the other day, we spoke to you about some of the unique ways places like Japan are dealing with social distancing requirements. And, to be fair to them, they’re bloody nailing it. They’re busting out the robots and running graduation ceremonies with the help of technology. In contrast to that, the bloody Poms haven’t been dealing so well. They’ve worked themselves up into a frenzy over 5G towers, and, apparently, things are getting pretty hectic. We can only surmise this is the reason some bloody joker has unleashed a dalek on a UK street.

Yeah, nah, you heard that right. Footage has emerged online of a dalek patrolling a British street and ordering residents to ‘Self-Isolate!’

If you’re like us and you have only a vague notion of what a dalek is, rest assured it’s not the mutant offspring conceived when Doctor Who’s tank f**ked a vacuum cleaner. Fair dinkum, we’ve googled that s**t for you, and it’s enough to know that it’s a classic bad guy from Doctor Who, and it’ll f**k you right up.

While we don’t know who unleashed the bloody thing, it’s fair to say it’s a typically British response to a crisis, and it’s no wonder the clip’s been a big hit online. It was first shared by the Sandford Police Twitter account – a parody account based on the police from Edgar Wright’s Hot Fuzz.

In the video, the Dalek travels the street and barks orders. “All humans must keep indoors! All humans must self-isolate by order of the Daleks. All humans must keep indoors! All humans must self-isolate by order of the Daleks!”

As you can see, though, it’s not terribly effective. Someone’s still travelling the street.

Final thought: As one of the tweets responding to it said, someone’s prepared a long time for this. They’re no doubt chuffed with themselves, and given the nature of things right now, is it any wonder that people are loving the s**t out of this video?
